WHY CROSS PARALLEL?
The meaning of Cross Parallel has much depth.
Cross: We want to provide people with an opportunity to cross paths with God. Every one of us were on a path, led by our own intuition, thoughts, and desires, searching for satisfaction. By God's great design and mercy, He stepped into our lives, crossing paths with us. At this cross roads, we encountered the love and friendship of God, through what Jesus did on the Cross. That encounter has forever changed who we are and the way we live. It is our goal to give everyone that same opportunity, by sharing the love and message of Jesus with everyone we know- at work, school, and within our community.
Cross: We also want to provide a place of worship for those who have already encountered the love of God. Our goal is to come together corporately once a week, and meet with God through worship, reading the Bible, and through prayer.
Cross: The last goal we have is to give young adults a place to cross paths with other young adults who love Jesus. Relationships are at the core of God's heart and He hardwired us just like Himself. We long for relationship with other people. This is a great place to connect with other believers and live life together in community.
Parallel: Parallel has only one meaning, but it is at the center of who we are and what we do. Our primary goal at Cross Parallel is to walk in step, parallel, with Jesus Christ. His message of love, integrity, and truth has turned the world upside down. We long to live just like He did, and to walk in step with Him in every decision we make. To walk in the fullness of Christ. (Ephesians 4:10-13).

Hey, we’re Tony and April Amaya!
We’ve been part of Cross Parallel since 2010, and it’s been an incredible journey! I stepped into the role of Young Adult Pastor in 2012, and April has been leading worship since 2011. We got married in 2015 and are now blessed with three amazing boys—Titus, Ezra, and Judah—who keep life full of energy and excitement.
Our vision for Cross Parallel is to create a space where young adults can connect with each other and, most importantly, encounter Jesus in a real and transformative way. Whether it's through worship, game nights, or outdoor adventures, we’re all about building a community that supports one another and grows together. I also love coaching football and track, and we’re always up for an adventure.
