Meet the Pastor.

Hey, I’m Richie Perko!

Born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado, I have a deep love for football, traveling, missions, and of course, a good cheeseburger. I graduated from East High School in 1997, and that same year, I moved to Waxahachie, Texas, where I attended Southwestern Assemblies of God University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Church Ministries with a Youth Emphasis.

After Bible college, I served as a youth pastor in Hurst, Texas, for over seven years. During that time, I noticed a troubling trend—many of my 18-year-old students were leaving church and not returning. God stirred a deep burden in my heart for young adults, and that led me back home to Pueblo. In 2010, I helped launch Cross Parallel, our young adult ministry.

In late 2012, Pastor Tony Amaya took leadership of Cross Parallel, and I transitioned into education. Over the next several years, my journey had many twists and turns, but each one brought me back to Pueblo Christian Center. Now, I’m honored to serve as the Children’s Pastor, and I’m grateful for everything God has done—and continues to do—here at our church!
